The many charms of Nice

Nice is one of the most beautiful towns in modern France. Capital of the French Riviera, its stunning looks and mild Mediterranean weather make any stay in Nice one to remember for many years.

I find that the most attractive cities in the World are either cities that have a lot of History in them, like, for example, Vienna, which has been the stage for so many events in History and has stood for centuries, or cities with a lot of cultural diversity, like Istanbul or the great cultural capitals like New York, Paris or London.

Nice is unique in the way that is combines the two, in a way that’s only rivaled perhaps by Cordoba in Spain. Nice has been around since pre-historic times, with different names and different peoples but roughly in the same place. And it has been owned by Turks, Arabs, French, Italians and Germans, making its architecture a mesh of several different styles. There is, however, a downside to this city being a large metropolis for such a long time – it’s incredibly hard to navigate. Car hire Nice is an obligatory stop for any traveler wanting to get to know the city. And don’t forget to pay up those extra euros for a GPS – you’ll need it.
