The Canary Deal

When people think of going on holidays to an island, there are a lot of things that they associate with it. But mainly when we think of paradise islands we usually think of either something in the Mediterranean or something that takes almost a half days flight to get there. The Mediterranean option is a great one. we can find amazing islands there, from really big ones like Crete, Sicily, Majorca or even Cyprus to small and picturesque ones like Ibiza, Santorini or Malta. There is a lot to choose from when it comes to the Mediterranean as there’s always something for everyone’s taste and everyone’s wallet. You can go to amazing beaches, drink great wine, sample amazing food or even enjoy a busy nightlife.
But if you choose to move to a different continent, the options, of course, broaden. There are some very famous, and also somewhat expensive in some cases, islands you can visit. Hawaii, of course, is a dream destination for many of us, with its amazing Pacific beaches, excellent living conditions and great atmosphere. Madagascar and the Seychelles are also an amazing option, as is Thailand, for beach and relaxed tourism. The person out to have some more challenging holidays may decide to go on the many amazing trails of New Zealand, for example.
But if you’re looking for a mid term holiday destination, holidays to Tenerife or just about any island in the Canaries are a good choice. It’s easy to forget about these islands, a little bit lost off the coast of Africa. But once you visit, you’ll never forget them. They have all the perks that any other paradisiacal travel destination can offer, with amazing beaches, stellar landscapes and a friendly and welcoming people. Although the Spanish may not have the most amazing track record of being friendly, in the Canaries it’s all different.
Add all of that to the fact that it’s really easy and simple to spend cheap holidays to Canary Islands. Accommodation isn’t exuberantly priced, so you’re likely to find an amazing hotel for a fraction of what it would cost you somewhere else. It’s also relatively cheap to fly into the islands, especially Tenerife. The airport is a very busy one, mainly due to tourism, and there are many low cost airlines that fly into the islands. So finding a good deal going there isn’t the problem, it’s finding the will to leave.
